Part-Time Recycling Collection Driver
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week
Pay: $24/hour
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Recycling Collection Driver to support our growing recycling operations in Birmingham.
This position will primarily involve driving collection routes, picking up recyclable materials from customers, and transporting and unloading materials.
Responsibilities
* Drive scheduled recycling collection routes throughout the Birmingham area
* Safely operate cargo vans and small box trucks (up to approximately 16')
* Pick up, load, transport, and offload recyclable materials
* Regularly lift and move materials weighing 50 lbs.
* Keep vehicles and equipment clean and organized
* Complete assigned routes safely and efficiently
* Communicate any customer, vehicle, or route issues to the operations team
* Assist with other recycling and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
* Valid driver's license and safe driving record
* Comfortable driving cargo vans and 16' box trucks
* Ability to repeatedly lift, load, and offload 50 lbs.
* Dependable and punctual
* Comfortable working independently and staying on schedule
* Friendly and professional when interacting with customers
* Comfortable performing physical work and working outdoors
This is a part-time position with a consistent Tuesday–Thursday schedule and an opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as our Birmingham operations grow.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 per week
