Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
- Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures using appropriate aseptic techniques.
- Take clinically acceptable dental X-rays.
- Maintain accurate dental records for each patient, documenting treatment plans and progress.
- Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Assist in various dental procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow within the dental office.
- Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the dental office.
Qualifications
- Valid dental hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
- Experience in a dental clinic or office setting.
- Proficiency in dental imaging techniques is advantageous.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on providing compassionate care.
- Familiarity with dental assisting tasks is a plus.
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety protocols.
