What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Glazier position at Glass Doctor?
The Glass Doctor of North Texas is seeking a skilled and reliable Residential Glazier to join our Multifamily Division, where you’ll play a key role in installing and replacing glass across large-scale residential properties. Your craftsmanship and efficiency will be the backbone of our growing department. This isn’t a fly-by-night operation — we’re looking for someone who’s as committed to quality and timelines as we are.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, replace, and repair residential glass in windows, doors, sliders, and shower enclosures
- Measure, cut, and handle glass safely and accurately in both shop and field settings
- Work closely with the Multifamily Division Manager to ensure jobs are completed on time and to spec
- Maintain proper documentation and photos for work completed (we’re big on process)
- Navigate active job sites and communicate clearly with onsite teams, vendors, and sometimes residents
- Load, transport, and unload materials using company vehicles
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of residential or commercial glazing experience (multifamily is a major plus)
- Proficient in measuring, cutting, and handling glass safely
- Knowledge of various glazing systems (windows, storefronts, mirrors, frameless showers, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding when needed
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
