Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of auto glass technicians to deliver superior service quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the removal, installation, and repair of auto glass components with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for glass installation, assembly, and vehicle repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify additional repair needs such as auto body repairs or mechanical issues.
- Manage auto estimating processes for parts, labor, and service timelines to ensure accurate billing.
- Coordinate with customers, dealerships, and insurance providers to facilitate smooth service delivery.
- Perform quality control checks post-installation to guarantee durability and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety regulations related to heavy lifting and hazardous materials.
- Support window tinting services and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations when required.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair shops specializing in auto glass services.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and window tinting techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience in auto body repair or vehicle maintenance enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive service solutions.
- Prior leadership experience leading a team of technicians or mechanics is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex installations.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes including assembly, detailing, and general mechanic work is advantageous.
