Responsibilities

• Remove and replace auto glass using manual cutting techniques and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.
• Install new glass with precision fitting, ensuring proper alignment and sealing for optimal vehicle safety and appearance.
• Handle glass materials carefully, including heavy lifting and proper storage of automotive glass components.
• Utilize knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to calibrate or reset systems after windshield replacement when necessary.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify additional repair needs such as auto body damage or mechanical issues that may affect glass installation.
• Operate company vehicles safely for on-site or mobile service appointments, maintaining cleanliness and proper documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures clearly, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software efficiently to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean work environment by detailing vehicles post-installation and performing routine vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to power tool use, glass handling, and heavy lifting to prevent injuries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an auto glass technician or in automotive repair with dealership experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with automotive glass materials handling, fitting installation, and heavy lifting procedures.
• Knowledge of ADAS calibration processes following windshield replacement is a plus.
• Ability to perform manual glass cutting accurately and efficiently.
• Basic understanding of auto body repair, auto estimating, and vehicle maintenance practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Commitment to safety standards including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of glass materials.
