Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable , dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Pay - 20% of what the truck Grosses a week
1099 position
Will sleep in truck, we provide BLANKETS AND HOTELS ON WEEKENDS
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks and ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Execute route driving to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including pallet jacks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Requirements
- DOT medical or obtain one
- CDL license is needed
- Have a clean MVR
- Willing to go OTR for a minimum of 3-4 weeks.
- experience in commercial driving a 26ft box truck with a lift gate.
- Familiarity with load unloading procedures and equipment such as liftgates
- Strong navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform lifting tasks as needed.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to all transportation regulations.
