Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of automotive glass components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety, body removal experience, LDWS, big truck and flat experience a plus
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace various types of automotive glass including windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
- Perform detailed inspections of glass components to identify any defects or issues.
- Utilize proper techniques for removing and installing auto glass while ensuring the integrity of the vehicle.
- Assemble and disassemble components as necessary to facilitate glass replacement.
- Work with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) when applicable, ensuring recalibration is performed correctly after installation.
- Collaborate with auto body repair teams and dealerships to provide seamless service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proficiency in heavy lifting as automotive glass can be substantial in weight.
- Experience with auto glass installation and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively with dealership teams and understand their specific requirements.
- Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.
- Knowledge of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) is a plus.
- Solid mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair processes.
- Capability to assemble components efficiently during the installation process.
