The Opportunity
This position is part of the Glanbia Nutritionals (DN) Operations Finance team, which includes Southwest Cheese and MWC. Our team is responsible for operational financial modelling, performance/cost reporting, planning and analysis for manufacturing plants in Idaho, New Mexico, and Michigan.
What You’ll Do
- Idaho financial planning model, including transfer prices.
- Finished goods inventory analysis.
- Cheese freight recovery outlooks and budgeting.
- Regular milk demand planning model across the GN Idaho facilities, analyze and monitor trends of component variances against plan and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly milk analysis for performance causals and provide insightful commentary for commercial and operations packs.
- Analyze monthly GN Dairy spare parts analysis, including but not limited to slow moving parts, rebuilt parts tracking and reporting, and min/max inventory analysis reports.
- Supports GN Dairy powders inventory analysis and outlooks, as needed.
- Review work and test for reasonableness; identify questionable results and investigate root cause.
- Support analysis of data as well as development/refinement of financial models related to continuous improvement initiatives and internal growth.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams across Idaho, New Mexico, and Michigan to drive efficiencies and standardization of processes across the organization.
- Manage individual and team projects as assigned.
- Cross-train with other analysts, collaborate and share learnings across the team.
The Skills You Will Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s degree required, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to quickly change priorities and handle competing priorities
- Must be extremely accurate and detail oriented in performing tasks and cross-checking work
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
