Job Goal (General Description of the position):
Provide leadership for identification of TAG students and oversee the development and management of individual TAG instructional plans and records. Work in coordination with the district appointed TAG supervisor.

Essential Functions (Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations):
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Provide current, up to date information to staff and seek input from staff that supports efforts to
develop and carry out district goals related to Talented and Gifted education.
- Attend and report at all building-level staff meetings as needed.
- Attend and report at your department/grade level meetings as appropriate.
- Attend and report at all TAG meetings.
- Keep site council/curriculum council apprised of building-wide TAG activities.
- Oversee the TAG identification process.
- Implement and coordinated the district TAG screening identification process.
- Provide continuous communication and information to parents.
- Coordinate TAG assessments for academic and intellectual giftedness.
- Work cooperatively with staff.
- Keep building administrators apprised of current assessments and evaluations.
- Evaluate records of new students for potential identification.
- Facilitate and coordinate the implementation of individual TAG plans.
- Encourage and support staff in their efforts to develop appropriate instruction plans that meet the needs of individual students.
- Verify individual TAG plans.
- Ensure that the instructional plan provided to identified students shall address their assessed levels of learning and accelerated rates of learning.
- Act as a resource to teachers in providing instructional strategies that meet the needs of identified students.
- Keep up to date with current knowledge of research related to TAG instruction.
- Comply with state mandated timelines for TAG identification and for provision of services.
- Support and encourage a collaborative district-wide effort in meeting the needs of TAG students.
- Act as a parent liaison.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary : $2,671 - $3,445
