Summary:
Gladstone Design is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Civil Design Engineers to join our close-knit team of engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors. This position is for an individual looking to assist with planning, design, and permitting of land development projects under the direction and guidance of a professionally licensed project engineer or manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on projects of all scales and types, from single-family estates to multi-family residential, redevelopment, commercial, solar, warehouse, and even golf facilities.
You will work in a collaborative environment, both internally and externally with multi-disciplinary project teams comprised of attorneys, architects, planners, and other engineers (geotechnical, environmental, structural, MEP). Our clients are primarily private landowners and developers whom we work with to obtain permits and approvals from local municipalities and State agencies such as the NJDEP, NJDOT, etc. At Gladstone Design, we strive to make positive contributions to local communities and to develop the land responsibly, by protecting the environment and respecting the safety and concerns of our neighbors.
As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be a critical member of the design team from a project's initial conception all the way through its approvals and ultimate construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with site planning, drafting, and design, including layout, grading, and utility design, hydraulic and hydrologic stormwater calculations, earthwork computations, conceptual designs, etc.
- Prepare technical reports and applications, for a multitude of State, County, and local permits
- Review local zoning ordinances for project and site compliance
- Develop proficiency in New Jersey State, County, and local regulations and design standards
- Develop technical skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydrology, and other engineering software
- Utilize new technologies and AI to advance innovative engineering design
- Collaborate with engineers, landscape architects, and survey team members on project tasks and assignments
- Work with interns and peers to foster an environment of collaborative learning
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- E.I.T. preferred
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Civil Engineering Internship in Land Development preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
