ROLE SUMMARY
The Producer is a critical role on the Production Team for Gladiator Productions. The Producer touches, and frequently leads, every aspect of the production process at Gladiator. They will be directly involved in Client and project communications. The Producer maintains a pulse on every aspect of our 4-Phase Production Process, assuring every detail is complete, and that all budgets are on-track and accurately reconciled. This role will be responsible for monitoring overall project progress and keeping all elements on track based on project timelines.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic & Client Relations:
- Support Ideation Phase, and Lead Ideation Phase decks and research as needed for Clients and Projects
- Varying by project scope, serve as main or supporting contact for Clients
- Communicate accurate and up-to-date project status and oversee deadlines
Physical Production:
- Lead project schedules and incoming project requests in coordination with Creative Head Liaise with vendors, venues, stakeholders and Client during the event planning process
- Thoroughly research options and viability for all elements of all phases of the production process
- Manage control of variables; anticipating potential roadblocks and troubleshoot solutions Lead pre-production, on-site execution inclusive of set-up & strike, and close-out of projects
- Produce multiple events at once
Financial Accountability & Leadership Skills:
- Assure all phases of a project are meeting budgetary targets and alignments
- Manage budgets and assure rapid reconciliation for assigned projects
- Liaise with all other members of the Production Team to assure projects are accurate within each phase
TRAVEL & HOURS
- Required travel 50 – 60%
- Overtime highly likely during active periods
- Candidate must be flexible with their schedule and be comfortable handling last minute requests depending on the day, they may need to work 8-12 hours a day and frequent weekends and overnights.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- 3-4 years Production/Live Event Experience required
- 3-4 years directly interacting with Clients/Vendors in the Experiential Field
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Related Skills:
- Exceptional communication & organizational skills (verbal and written)
- Extremely proficient in Apple/Mac operating systems (OS Tahoe onward)
- Highly versed in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Strong Adobe Creative Cloud experience (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- This position requires moderate physical effort. Some unpacking and packing of materials will be required associated with scenic and prop elements. There will be moving and setting up of event pieces and other scenic & collateral.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
