A K–8 school is seeking a dynamic and experienced School Principal to serve as the instructional and operational leader of the school. The Principal will be responsible for driving student achievement, leading staff, and ensuring a safe, structured, and high-performing learning environment aligned to Florida standards.
This role requires a strong instructional leader who can use data to inform decisions, build a positive school culture, and ensure compliance with all applicable state and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership & Student Achievement
- Lead implementation of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and aligned curriculum
- Analyze FAST and progress monitoring data to drive instructional decisions
- Ensure strong Tier 1 instruction and effective MTSS systems
Strategic Planning & School Improvement
- Develop and implement the School Improvement Plan (SIP)
- Monitor progress toward school grade and performance goals
Talent Management & Staff Development
- Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality instructional staff
- Implement teacher evaluations aligned to FEAPs
- Provide coaching and ongoing professional development
School Culture & Learning Environment
- Establish a safe, structured, and positive school climate
- Ensure compliance with ESE, ESOL, and student services
Operations & Fiscal Management
- Manage the school budget and resources effectively
- Ensure compliance with Florida statutes and accountability requirements
Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders
- Maintain clear and transparent communication
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership or a related field (Doctorate preferred)
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience
- Valid Florida Educator Certification in Educational Leadership (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and accountability systems
- Proven track record of improving student achievement
