As an Counter Sale representative, you will be responsible for taking care of our customers by interacting over the phone and in person. You will provide product information and enter sales orders into our ERP system while working with customers and Glacier employees. This role may occasionally include assisting with warehouse duties.
What we do:
Glacier Supply Group is a regional HVAC distributor of a complete line of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and water heating products. We provide products and services to the residential new construction and replacement markets as well as the light-commercial markets. We are family owned and have 8 stores serving HVAC contractors throughout Washington, Idaho, and Montana. We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be opening three new locations in Oregon.

What you’ll do
• Build and maintain customer relations in order to generate sales and leads.
• Answer customer questions relating to products and assist in solving problems.
• Research and relay information to customers as needed.
• Notifies manager or salesperson when they need to provide pricing and quotes to customers.
• Write up quotes for customers.
• Provide product literature to customers.
• Enter orders into the system and modify as needed.
• Inform customers of new product offerings and updates to current products.
• Fill out Customer Pricing Request form for special customer pricing and submit to Purchasing.
• Maintain records of all customer interactions.
• Answer incoming calls at the branch.
• Maintain the office in a clean and organized manner.
• Assist customers at the counter.
• Ensure all branch customer orders are pulled, packaged, staged, and/or loaded into customer vehicle accurately and undamaged.
• Unload and put away all inventory transfers delivered from vendors and route trucks.
• Ensure that all warehouse aisles and bin locations are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
• Accurately pull orders for customers.
• Load and unload vehicle.
• Collect on unpaid orders and shipments.
• Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials.
Requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate with all customers and staff members within the company.
- Industry experience a plus but not required.
- General computer experience required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Ability to represent the company positively to all internal and external contacts.
- Available to work occasional overtime as needed.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Work experience in a team environment.
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
- Forklift/picker experience preferred.
- Deadline oriented.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Complete a background check and successfully pass a drug screen.
- This is a safety sensitive position. Drug test includes testing for cannabis use.
- Must be available for day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.
