The Teller will be responsible for receiving and paying out money, accurately keeping records of money and negotiable instruments, and meeting the needs of our customers by providing exceptional service. 

 

Must have availability from 08:45AM-6:15PM Monday-Friday.  Weekends, evening and (paid) Holidays are always off!! This position will be 20 hours a week, schedule may be flexible, but need daily coverage M-F. We offer  Vision and Dental benefits as well as supplemental Medical Insurance.  In addition to that we offer an amazing Paid-Time-Off package (this is in addition to the 11 paid Holidays) as well as amazing 401-K and Profit Sharing benefits!  Minimum rate $17.00   DOE

Essential Functions:

  1. Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.
  2. This position requires travel to branches in a designated area as determined by branch needs.
  3. Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold requests when necessary.
  4. Process withdrawals and cash checks: verify endorsement, receive proper identification, and ensure validity.
  5. Identify counterfeit currency.
  6. Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  7. Cross-sell bank products and services.
  8. Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
  9. Count and bundle currency and roll loose coins.
  10. Issue cashier’s checks, process cash advances, and redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
  11. Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
  12. Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
  13. Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
  14. Follow procedures for removing accounts from dormancy.
  15. Balance drawer daily, following balancing standards and procedures.
  16. Follow all bank policies and procedures.
  17. Perform other transactions as needed in accordance with policy and procedures.
  18. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

About You

Position Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Good computer skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. 6 months or more of prior cash handling experience
  2. 6 months or more of prior customer service experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
