Job Overview
We're looking for a Woodworking Specialist to join our Milling Department. No experience necessary – we'll train you on machine operation from day one. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, doesn't mind a physically demanding, on-your-feet role, and wants to learn a trade with real growth potential. You'll play a key role in processing raw lumber into square parts that feed into other departments throughout our shop. Experience in precision manufacturing or construction is preferred.
Whether you come from manufacturing, carpentry, construction, or have no shop experience at all, if you're reliable and ready to work hard, we want to talk to you. Starting pay depends on experience.
Duties
- Operate a variety of woodworking machinery such as planers, rip saws, and chop saws
- Feed and process hardwood materials through milling equipment
- Cut and shape raw lumber into blanks and square parts used by other departments throughout the shop
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, or specs
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure accuracy and quality
- Maintain consistent production flow and meet daily output goals
- Collaborate with team leads and coworkers to keep operations running efficiently
- Keep your workspace clean and organized
- Learn new processes and cross-train in multiple areas
- Contribute to waste reduction efforts
