Purchasing Aide

Are you detail-oriented and love working behind the scenes to ensure smooth operations? Check out this part-time position on weekday mornings, with flexible hours, 20-25 hours per week. Glacial Ridge Health System is looking for a dedicated Purchasing Aide who will play an important role in helping maintain inventory and restock supplies, ensuring that staff in all departments have everything they need to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Sign in all deliveries and deliver to the correct department.
• Enter packing slips and check accuracy to ensure proper receipt of merchandise.
• Place orders for supplies needed.
• Keep hospital and clinics appropriately stocked.
• Ensure medical-surgical items have stickers with proper charge labels.
• Participate in inventory control.
• Keep supplies well organized, neat and clean.
• Assist with disbursing of items.
• Properly fill requisitions for all departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must have great customer service skills.
• Must have a liking and ability for math.
• Must be organized to ensure correct inventory is kept.
• Must be understanding and ready to assist staff with daily needs.
• Must have good phone skills.
• Some medical knowledge is helpful.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Decision-making and problem-solving.
• Team building.

Performance Standards

• Ensure overall adequate supply of medical-surgical and office supplies.
• Report any concerns or requests from other departments to the Manager.
• Must adhere to HIPAA confidentiality standards.
• Must adhere to the Keys to Heartfelt Care.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Schedule

• Part-Time
• 20-25 hours per week
• Monday – Friday 8:30a-1:30p
