Irrigation Technician – Private Golf & Country Club

GL Staffing is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician for a prestigious private golf and country club community in Windermere.

This is a hands-on position responsible for helping maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems throughout the community's golf course, residential landscaping, and common grounds. The ideal candidate will have previous irrigation or landscaping experience and be comfortable diagnosing irrigation problems and performing repairs independently.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems
• Diagnose leaks, broken lines, damaged sprinkler heads, valves, and other irrigation issues
• Repair and replace sprinkler heads, piping, valves, fittings, and related components
• Assist with installation and modification of irrigation systems
• Troubleshoot irrigation controllers and watering zones
• Monitor landscaped areas for overwatering, underwatering, dry spots, leaks, and improper coverage
• Adjust sprinkler heads and watering patterns as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance on irrigation equipment
• Work closely with landscaping and groundskeeping teams to maintain healthy turf, plants, and landscaping
• Assist with general grounds and landscaping duties when needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and community standards

Requirements

• Previous irrigation experience strongly preferred
• Landscaping or golf course maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of sprinkler heads, valves, PVC piping, irrigation lines, pumps, and controllers preferred
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot irrigation problems
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
• Must be comfortable working outdoors throughout the entire shift, including Florida heat and humidity
• Ability to perform physical work including walking, bending, kneeling, digging, and lifting
• Clean and professional appearance required
• Must meet the client's background screening requirements
• Strong attendance and reliable transportation required

Comparable private-club positions commonly seek experience with pipes, valves, pumps, controllers and sprinkler systems, along with the ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
