KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenace & Operations
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance program covering all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, security, etc.).
- Manage and coordinate all repair and maintenance activities using internal staff and outside contractors.
- Perform routine facility inspections to proactively identify and address issues.
- Ensure all systems operate efficiently and remain in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Optimize space utilization, including office layouts, department moves, and construction or renovation projects.
Supplier and Contractor Coordination
- Identify, evaluate, and oversee vendors and contractors for services such as janitorial, waste management, and specialized repairs.
- Negotiate contracts and review proposals to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety standards and company requirements.
Financial Planning & Budget Management
- Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, maintaining a balance between operational needs and cost efficiency.
- Track and analyze facility-related expenses and identify opportunities for savings.
- Prepare capital expenditure requests for major equipment upgrades and facility improvements.
Safety, Risk & Environmental Compliance
- Create and enforce site-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire codes, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Lead emergency preparedness programs, including evacuation planning and disaster recovery efforts.
- Oversee hazardous material disposal and promote sustainable, environmentally responsible practices.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor facility staff, including maintenance technicians and custodial personnel.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative, safe, and high-performance team environment.
Stakeholder Relations & Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for all facility-related matters for staff and leadership.
- Maintain clear communication with internal departments, senior management, and external partners.
- Provide regular updates and reports on facility operations, ongoing projects, and budget status.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management with proven operational success.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Willingness to be on call for emergency situations when required.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
