What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Product Introduction (NPI) Demand Planning Lead position at GKN Automotive?
A day in the life
You start your morning scanning the latest demand signal and supplier commits. A quick SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) readiness huddle reveals a capacity pinch at a key supplier. You rebalance material flow, update the master schedule, and align stakeholders from procurement to customer service. By midday, you review project KPIs, course-correct to keep milestones on time and within budget, and host a brief training to reinforce policy and standards compliance. The afternoon is for implementing a new SC/IT solution that tightens master data discipline and improves forecast accuracy—another step toward a safer, smoother flow of goods. You finish with a division-wide check-in, ensuring the Supply Chain strategy is consistently executed across product lines.
