Job Summary

Applies knowledge of a manufacturing process and standard production methods to effectively support CMM operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Sets up fixtures on CMM machines.
• Follows instructions to set part on CMM machines.
• Performs detailed inspections to ensure compliance to engineering data and customer specifications.
• Reads and interprets drawings, batch cards and operation sheets.
• Executes CMM programs.
• Accurately enters electronic data and uses attention to detail to read and communicate data.
• Evaluates and dispositions printed CMM reports.
• Skilled in associated measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• Follows procedures for proper start-up and shut-down of all measuring equipment.
• Performs calibration of the CMM.
• Performs CMM Preventative Maintenance according to SOP’s.
• Other responsibilities as required.
  
  

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required.
• General knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and quality inspection desired.
• Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines, inspection methods, and measuring and test equipment highly preferred.
• Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft software (Word, Excel).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving abilities, and attention to detail required.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Minimal or no exposure to excessive noise, dirt, chemicals, extreme temperatures, or hazardous conditions.
• Frequent use of computers.
• Standing and walking at least 7hrs/day
• Ability to carry and lift weight up to 25lbs
• Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling required (At least 2hrs/day)
• Use of hands for fine dexterity, light and strong grasping (At least 7hrs/day)
