Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead process optimization and manufacturing excellence initiatives within our dynamic production environment.
Duties
- Lead process engineering projects focused on optimizing manufacturing workflows, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity through lean manufacturing principles.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues affecting production quality or efficiency, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems to automate production lines.
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and fabrication processes for plastics injection molding, welding, CNC machining, and assembly line operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop process improvements aligned with ISO 9001 standards and other quality management systems.
- Support factory experience initiatives by analyzing factory layouts, optimizing material flow, and enhancing factory safety protocols through continuous improvement strategies.
Requirements
- Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals
- Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
- Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
- Conducts cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
- Assists manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
