Tax Manager / Senior Manager / Principal – Trust & Estate Tax

Compensation: $150,000 – $220,000 Base Salary Bonus Profit Sharing

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Tax professional with knowledge in Trust & Estate Tax to join our Irvine office. This individual will play a key role in managing complex client relationships, reviewing sophisticated tax engagements, mentoring staff, and helping continue the growth of our trust and estate practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex:
- 1041 Trust & Estate Returns
- 990 Returns
- 706 & 709 Estate/Gift Tax Returns
- Manage high-net-worth trust and estate client relationships
- Research and resolve complex fiduciary and estate tax matters
- Coordinate with attorneys, financial advisors, family offices, and internal tax teams
- Review workpapers and provide mentorship to staff and seniors
- Assist with tax planning strategies for trusts, estates, and multi-generational wealth structures
- Participate in practice development and leadership initiatives depending on experience level
- Ensure projects are completed accurately and within deadlines
Qualifications
- CPA required
- 6 years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience with fiduciary, estate, and gift taxation
- Knowledge of:
- 1041s
- 990s
- 706/709 filings
- Experience reviewing returns and managing engagements
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Desire to work in a collaborative, long-term, relationship-driven environment
