What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Giving Children Hope?
Company Description Giving Children Hope is a nonprofit organization that helps children and families break out of a cycle of need into lives of success and self-sustainability through programs that provide food, household goods, and leadership development.
Job duties include:
- Handling incoming donations and outgoing shipments
- Ensuring all inventory protocols and updates are followed
- Must be able to receive, sort, stock, move, stage, and load inventory
- Lifting and operating manual handling equipment.
- Training will be provided on how to operate forklift
- Unload and load trucks
- Responsible for making deliveries and pickups as scheduled with warehouse and operational department
- Maintains the cleanliness of the facility
- Assist with supervising volunteer groups
- Establish strong, high-trust relationships with partners, volunteers, donors and fellow staff member
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms stoop, talk and hear
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and/or weekends
- Shift may be adjusted periodically depending on business demands
- Maintain clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed yearly)
