Key Responsibilities
Import Export Ocean and Air Freight
- Coordinate international shipments from booking through final delivery across ocean air and domestic moves
- Work directly with freight forwarders customs brokers and carriers to move freight efficiently
- Prepare and review shipping documents including bills of lading commercial invoices packing lists and customs paperwork
- Track shipments daily and stay ahead of delays communicating updates clearly to customers and internal teams
- Ensure all shipments meet import and export requirements and customer expectations
- Partner with warehouse and operations to schedule and prioritize freight
- Handle shipment issues damages or delays and work toward resolution quickly
- Maintain accurate shipment tracking and documentation in internal systems
- At least 3 years of hands-on international logistics experience
- Experience managing ocean and or air shipments
- Strong understanding of import export documentation and customs processes
- Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Ability to manage multiple shipments at once without missing details
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Comfortable in a fast paced environment
- Experience in a freight forwarder or 3PL environment is a plus
- Familiarity with HTS classification or customs compliance is a plus
