The Dining Services Team at Givens Estates, a premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is hiring for a Part Time Dining Host to help support our state-of-the-art dining venue Terrene. This is a meaningful and vital position where you will set-up, maintain proper cleanliness and safety in the dining venue, while providing the highest degree of services and care to residents, guests, and team members. The schedule for this role will be:

Thursdays through Saturdays - 4PM to 7PM

Sundays - 11AM to 2PM

What you'll do:

• Greet/acknowledge guests arriving to Terrene
• Actively communicates with residents while escorting to the table.
• Seats residents by escorting them to assigned table, pulling out chair and presenting menu to the residents/guests
• Communicates to residents if any delay is anticipated in the dining experience
• Oversees all podium responsibilities: Reservations, phone calls, carryout/carry-out services, cleaning of menu and completes all assigned opening/side/closing duties
• Provide walk throughs of Terrene to help ensure residents/guests are satisfied; answer questions, advise servers and other team members of any specific feedback
• Assist sever team members in any way possible to ensure residents/guest enjoy their experience
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

• Prefer on-the-job three (3) months of supervised training
• Working knowledge of sanitary standards related to food handling and preparation
• Knowledge to serve meals in an appealing and appetizing manner
• Knowledge of foods, beverages, condiments allowed on therapeutic diets
• High School or GED equivalent is preferred

Compensation: $17.50 -19.00 per hour, based on experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package!
