The Opportunity:
Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides critically ill children and their families with a magical week-long wish vacation at no cost. Amidst snoring trees, enchanting castles and the world’s largest game of Candy Land, Give Kids The World creates life-changing moments that lift spirits, renew hope and inspire belief in the impossible.
We believe that each member of our team helps create the perfect storybook experience for the families we host at our magical Village. The Graphic Design Internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a creative professional environment while contributing directly to the visuals that bring the Village’s mission and magic to life.
As a Graphic Design Intern, you will assist with designing print and digital materials, supporting visual storytelling, creating assets for social media, and helping maintain brand consistency across a variety of platforms.
Commitment:
Interns will be expected on property 3 to 4 days per week totaling roughly 24 to 28 hours per week. Your schedule will be dependent on department needs and will be discussed with you at the time of onboarding. Internship Program will run from May 18, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with the Art Director and the Marketing team to support the creative needs of the Village through:
- Designing print and digital collateral including flyers, posters, brochures, signage, and social media graphics.
- Assisting with layout, imagery, and creative concepts for internal and external communications.
- Helping produce graphics for websites and digital campaigns.
- Ensuring all design work aligns with established brand standards.
- Supporting photography and short-form video projects as needed.
- Assisting with organizing and managing digital assets.
- Participating in creative brainstorming sessions and providing visual ideas.
- Staying current on industry and design trends.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands Beyond Normal Office Environment:
- Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and balance.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as project needs arise.
- Able to maintain a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Qualifications and Specific Skills:
- Professional verbal and written communication skills ensuring courtesy, accuracy, and thoughtful follow-through.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude with willingness to learn.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Interest in visual storytelling and mission-driven design.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.

Education / Experience Required:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, and taking at least one class at the time of application in Hospitality, Non-Profit Management, or related field.
