Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our facilities, personnel, and assets. This role requires flexibility, quick thinking, and a proactive approach to potential security concerns. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing access points, and responding effectively to incidents or emergencies. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment that fosters confidence and peace of mind for everyone on-site.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and physical patrols to monitor activity across the premises.
- Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, assessing situations with clarity and professionalism.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate assistance during medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed to address security issues or incidents.
- Document all security activities, incidents, and observations accurately in shift reports and logs.
- Enforce loss prevention measures by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or damage.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and conflict management is preferred; willingness to obtain certifications if not already held.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, emergency responders, and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities during emergencies or incidents.
