Duties
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to ensure safety and security protocols are followed
- Respond swiftly to security alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate support and coordination with emergency services when necessary
- Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizations for visitors, contractors, and staff
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting any concerns promptly
- Provide first aid or CPR if needed, supporting injured individuals until professional help arrives
- Document all incidents, observations, and security activities accurately in shift reports for record-keeping and follow-up
Skills
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring systems
- Ability to effectively manage conflicts with calmness and professionalism
- Experience with law enforcement procedures or military background is advantageous for understanding security protocols
- Certified in first aid and CPR to respond confidently during medical emergencies
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to deter theft and vandalism
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations diplomatically
