About Girls Ment To Be
Girls Ment To Be is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls through mentorship, leadership development, academic support, and family engagement. Our programs create safe, supportive environments that help girls grow socially, emotionally, and academically while strengthening families and communities.
As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Community Engagement Volunteer to help build meaningful relationships throughout the community, increase awareness of our mission, and support outreach efforts that connect more girls, families, volunteers, and community partners with Girls Ment To Be.
Position Overview
The Community Engagement Volunteer serves as an ambassador for Girls Ment To Be by helping strengthen community relationships and increase visibility throughout the areas we serve. This volunteer supports outreach efforts, attends community events, assists with partnership development, and helps connect the organization with businesses, schools, churches, civic organizations, and other community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Girls Ment To Be at community events, resource fairs, networking events, and outreach opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders.
- Assist with recruiting volunteers, mentors, and community partners.
- Help identify partnership and collaboration opportunities that align with the organization's mission.
- Support community outreach campaigns and awareness initiatives.
- Assist with promoting programs, events, and volunteer opportunities.
- Distribute marketing materials and share information about Girls Ment To Be within the community.
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen community engagement strategies.
This role focuses specifically on community outreach, relationship-building, and organizational visibility.
