Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Instructor to join our team. As a Program Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to the students in the afterschool program at Virginia Primary school, ensuring that they gain the skills and knowledge necessary for their personal and professional growth through our Girls Inc and Afterschool Programming.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with program objectives and participant needs.
- Facilitate interactive learning experiences that encourage participation and engagement among students.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance program offerings and share best practices.
- Create a supportive environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and open communication with the children and other staff.
- Communicate effectively with other program staff and instructors about daily schedule.
- Have the ability to plan programs, gather your own materials and implement the program with a group of 25 kids or more.
Requirements
- A Highschool Diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- being able to communicate effectively with other staff.
- Preferred- have experience working with elementary aged children in any setting.
- The ability to do online trainings as needed and personal development days.
*This position is specifically with the 21st Century Grant Afterschool program at Virginia Primary Elementary School. The program is from 2pm to 5:30pm Monday thru Thursday. Friday you have the option to work at our main Girls Inc site or Children Inc site from 2pm to 6pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.25 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
