Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley, an affiliate of Girls Incorporated, has been empowering local girls aged 6 to 18 since 2006. Serving Shasta and Tehama counties, the organization provides research-based in-school, after-school, and extracurricular programs. Focused on building self-esteem and leadership skills, these programs inspire girls to be “strong, smart, and bold” while addressing challenges such as low educational achievement and exposure to violence. With a rich history rooted in supporting young women, Girls Inc. is dedicated to creating opportunities for girls to thrive as leaders, innovators, and independent thinkers.
This full-time, on-site Learning Facilitator role is based in Redding, CA. The Learning Facilitator will guide and support girls participating in various programs, assist in developing and implementing engaging activities, and create a supportive, inclusive learning environment. This individual will serve as a mentor and role model, ensuring program objectives are met and fostering personal and academic growth for every participant.
- Experience in educational program facilitation, lesson planning, and curriculum development
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive environment that builds confidence and leadership among participants
- Knowledge of child development and experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for planning and managing activities effectively
- Proficiency with technology and basic administrative tasks
- Commitment to the mission of Girls Inc. and the ability to inspire and motivate participants
- Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, social work, or a related field is preferred
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
