What You’ll Do
As the Finance & Operations Director you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day financial and
operational management of our nonprofit organization. This hands-on role centers around overseeing accounting systems, managing budgets, processing payroll, ensuring compliance, and supporting internal operations.
You’ll collaborate with leadership and program staff to ensure accurate financial reporting,
smooth business operations, and compliance with HR and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Managing financial transactions, account reconciliations, and monthly reporting
• Preparing the annual budget and monitoring monthly performance
• Processing biweekly payroll and managing employee onboarding and benefits
• Supporting vendor relations and addressing facilities and operational needs
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and filing requirements
• Provides direct oversight of external audits
What You’ll Bring
• At least 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, including A/P, A/R, budgeting, and reporting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and problem-solve in a dynamic environment
Work Environment
• Onsite: Lowell Massachusetts.
• Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30am-6:00Pm
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $80,000-85,000, commensurate with experience
• Health and dental insurance
• 403(b) plan
