Overview
We are seeking a person who is passionate and dedicated to the care of children between the ages of 5 to 18. As a Summer Program Instructor, you will be required to supervise the children at all times, conduct program, keep spaces clean and organized, drive our 15 passenger vans, serve breakfast and snack. You are also expected to provide an encouraging, kind, and safe environment for all children.
Our Summer Program runs from May 26th - July 24th, which is a 9-week program. We are open from 7am to 5:30pm Monday thru Friday (Closed June 19th and July 3rd).
Staff work 8-hour shifts every weekday. Either 7am-3pm or 9:30am-5:30pm, which will alternate each week.
We are specifically hiring for at least 1 to 2 staff at our Children Inc location in Piney Flats, TN.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and implement a variety of programming daily. (ex. Healthy Living, Positive Action, STEM, Leadership, Crafts, etc.)
- Gather materials/supplies for each program or activity. Clean up after program/activity.
- Serve breakfast and snack daily. Clean up after each meal service. The kids must bring their own lunch, but we provide breakfast and snack.
- Drive 15 passenger van, safely, with children to and from field trip destinations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other Program Instructors/Site Director. Communicate with Director of Operations and Director of Programs.
- Work together with other staff to conduct program, monitor children, serve food, clean program areas, etc.
- Ensure a safe, positive, healthy, encouraging and kind environment for ALL children.
Qualifications
- Need a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Need a valid driver's license.
- 18 years or older.
- Must be willing to get CPR/First Aid Certified.
- Must be willing to drive a 15-passenger van.
Preferred
- At least 1 year of childcare experience.
- Communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others well.
Pay: $14.25 per hour
