Position Summary:
The Recruitment Manager is responsible for increasing Girl Scout membership in an assigned territory within the council. The Recruitment Manager supports the onboarding of new Girl Scout adult volunteers/troops and oversees seasonal staff in doing the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts school and community meetings to attain membership goals and objectives.
- Schedules and conducts information meetings to find qualified adults to start and run Girl Scout troops.
- Creates and oversees recruitment meeting schedule within assigned territory, ensuring appropriate seasonal staff are scheduled to attend meetings.
- Work with seasonal staff following recruitment meetings to ensure troop formation and registration is complete.
- Utilize and train seasonal staff on sales techniques for recruiting members.
- Works collaboratively with First Year Troop Support Specialists to implement a comprehensive membership growth plan in targeted areas.
- Implements membership recruiting strategies outlined in the seasonal recruitment plan.
- Prepares status reports for metrics meetings to monitor progress.
- Generates leads, qualifies prospects, initiates contacts, and builds customer relationships.
- Utilizes council's systems and resources to register, recruit and track new members.
- Initiates background checks for adult volunteers as required, and ensures prospective volunteer completes the background check process.
- Recruits, orients, and collaborates with Troop Organizer volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including many evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional computer programs as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel to GSSEM service centers and to meetings throughout the designated territory.
Equipment Used: Computer, laptop, tablet, calculator, multi-line telephone, mobile phone, security alarm system, TV/audio equipment, overhead projector, LCD projector.
Physical Activities: Climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, keyboard, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Physical Demands: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently.
Visual Acuity Required: Heavy acuity: Preparing and analyzing data and figures and using a computer terminal, laptop and tablet.
Work Conditions: Activities occur both inside and outside.
