Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming hires for summer camp positions that rotate to each of these camps:

· Camp Castle Rock near Butte, Montana

· Timbercrest Camp near Red Lodge, Montana

· Camp Sacajawea near Casper, Wyoming

As a member of our camp staff, you'll not only inspire and lead campers in their summer adventures but, you will also have the chance to explore these unique camp locations yourself. Our team stays in rustic cabins, lodges, and yurts, providing an authentic camping experience. Additionally, you'll become part of a close-knit community where personal growth and unforgettable experiences are the norm.

Dates of Employment: May 28, 2026 – August 17, 2026

The Camp Counselor provides a unique blend of instruction, mentoring, and leadership to campers as their primary caregiver for the week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Direct, supervise, and organize campers in their living unit, within activities and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes

· Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff

· Responsible for leading and assisting with teaching a variety of activities

· Be a role model to campers and staff using the Girl Scout Law and Promise as a base line

· In charge of the emotional well-being of campers, especially during times of homesickness

Experience/Education

· High School diploma or the equivalent; three months to one year experience working with youth, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

· Minimum of 18 years of age or older
