Outreach Program Specialist (Bilingual – Exploradoras)

Girl Scouts of Eastern WA and Northern ID
Pasco, WA Full Time
POSTED ON 5/6/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/6/2026

Our Mission: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho (GSEWNI) is a nonprofit organization serving 29 counties across Central and Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. With the support of more than 2,000 volunteers, we serve approximately 5,000 girls in grades K–12 through programs grounded in four pillars: life skills, STEM, outdoors, and entrepreneurship. Our headquarters is in Spokane, Washington, with staff based throughout the region, including the Tri-Cities and Coeur d’Alene.

We are hiring a bilingual (Spanish/English) Outreach Program Specialist to support Exploradoras, our bilingual Girl Scout program serving girls and families in Pasco. Exploradoras is designed to expand access to Girl Scouts by offering culturally responsive, bilingual programming that centers inclusion, leadership development, and community engagement.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth, values community connection, and is confident leading activities in both English and Spanish.

Position Overview

The Outreach Program Specialist works alongside the Outreach Program Coordinator to lead bilingual Girl Scout troops for girls in grades K–8. You will facilitate engaging, hands-on meetings that help girls build confidence, strengthen teamwork skills, and explore new interests through Girl Scout programming.

You will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment for both girls and their families, ensuring that language is not a barrier to participation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead bilingual troop meetings using Girl Scout curriculum, incorporating activities in STEM, life skills, outdoors, and entrepreneurship.
  • Deliver programming in both Spanish and English to ensure accessibility for girls and families.
  • Prepare materials and supplies for meetings and activities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment where girls are encouraged to lead, collaborate, and problem-solve.
  • Support family communication in Spanish and English, helping families feel informed and connected.
  • Collaborate with co-leaders and GSEWNI staff to ensure strong program delivery.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and required documentation.
  • Support outreach and relationship-building within the local community.
  • Assist with additional program needs as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (required).
  • Experience working with youth (formal or informal settings).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead small groups and manage group dynamics in a positive way.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive programming.

If you’re interested in supporting girls and families through a bilingual Girl Scout experience, we encourage you to apply. Exploradoras is about expanding opportunity, strengthening community connections, and helping girls grow into confident leaders—one meeting at a time.
