Girl Scouts Beyond Bars (GSBB) Intern
As a GSBB Intern, you will work directly with our Community Outreach Program Manager - GSBB. GSBB provides the Girl Scout experience to girls with incarcerated mothers and girls in group homes, homeless shelters, and drop-in locations, fostering positive personal and social development.
This internship will be approximately 20-30 hours per week and is eligible for college credit, if applicable. Interns are paid minimum wage (currently $15 per hour worked).
Essential Functions
- Assist with GSBB program operations and day-to-day logistics across partner sites, correctional facilities, and community-based locations.
- Help coordinate schedules, materials, and program supplies for troop meetings and events.
- Assist in supporting and implementing new and emerging program expansion opportunities for GSBB.
- Support special events, travel, and other program activities as needed.
- Provide general administrative and program support to ensure smooth implementation of GSBB programming.

Work Location
This position is a hybrid position that will require days in the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri office, days at program sites and facilities, and occasional remote work.

Qualifications:Qualifications
- Interns must be enrolled in a graduate, bachelor's or associate's degree program and have completed at least one (1) semester of college. Interns must be pursuing a degree relevant to the role. Interns may or may not receive academic credit for the internship. If an intern seeks academic credit for the internship, it is up to the intern to establish this through their educational institution.
- Internships are temporary assignments offered for up to a maximum of four (4) semester periods. Intern work scheduled may vary depending upon course credit requirements, intern scheduling preferences, needs for time off, etc. Interns may work up to twenty (20) hours per week during the school year and up to thirty (30) hours per week during the summer.
