Exciting opportunity to strengthen your skillset! Temporary Digital Marketing Specialist opportunity- must be located within New England. Anticipated need is 6 months beginning in January 2026.
Position Summary:
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts’ (GSEMA) Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for projects that include email marketing, digital advertising (e.g. online and social platforms), and website maintenance to build the GSEMA community, showcase GSEMA programs, recruit new members, and improve the visibility and awareness of the organization. The Digital Marketing Specialist will report to the Senior Director of Marketing and will work closely with the marketing team, and well as the membership, program, outdoor program, advancement, and product program teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing GSEMA’s email campaigns and communicating organization brand through email marketing. Collaborate with internal departments and marketing team members to manage content, layout and scheduling; work with the Graphic Design Manager for graphics, images and design templates, and the Writer/Editor for drafting/proofing email content.
- Analyze email marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximize conversion.
- Track and report on email campaigns in order to guide improvements.
- Ensure that all email campaigns comply with current industry email best practices.
- Maintain proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, performing A/B testing, evaluating results, and coaching/training other staff on best practices and to overcome challenges.
- Monitor and evaluate issues affecting the customer base and create strategies and messaging to promote the organization’s work and more deeply engage our membership and various constituencies.
- Promote the brand value of GSEMA using a range of traditional and new media marketing tools to enhance visibility, engagement and loyalty. Manage social media ad campaigns to support membership and revenue growth.
- Cultivate and manage collaborative relationships and build trust within the organization and externally by anticipating needs and communicating clearly and consistently.
- In collaboration with the Senior Writer/Editor, manage content for GSEMA’s web presence (requires working with content management software).
- Coordinate web projects across departments.
- Maintain and refresh Google Analytics and Adwords campaigns and develop remarketing/retargeting strategies (e.g. Facebook Pixel).
- Track and report on all site metrics.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Without Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 6 years of equivalent experience as outlined below.
- With Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 2 years of proven experience with digital marketing strategies and web maintenance, preferably within a non-profit or marketing-related field.
- Experience developing, implementing, and analyzing both traditional and social media metrics.
- Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and results.
- Experience using digital marketing tools, including developing social media advertising campaigns.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder).
- Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve practical problems and successfully manage a variety of variables and personalities; ability to adapt in a changing environment.
- Capacity to, independently and as part of a team, plan, organize and prioritize work, while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong writing, editing and design skills; capable of presenting written and numerical data effectively.
- Understand and value the Girl Scout brand and mission and have a passion for working at a mission-driven organization.
Work Environment: Hybrid work arrangement but must be located within New England area. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with a 37.5 hour ET per week schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
