Director of Community Outreach

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Director of Community Outreach to lead our efforts in building meaningful relationships within the community. Duties

• Develop comprehensive community outreach strategies aligned with organizational goals to increase visibility and engagement.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of outreach coordinators, volunteers, and partner organizations to ensure effective program implementation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local agencies, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration.
• Organize and participate in public speaking engagements, community events, workshops, and informational sessions to raise awareness about our programs and services.
• Design, implement, and evaluate outreach programs focused on public health issues such as addiction prevention, mental health awareness, or social work initiatives.
• Manage social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns to promote events, share success stories, and engage diverse audiences.
• Collect data on community needs and program outcomes to inform continuous improvement efforts; prepare reports for internal review and external funding applications.
• Oversee fundraising efforts by coordinating with donors, organizing events, and developing grant proposals to support outreach activities.
• Handle administrative responsibilities including budgeting, scheduling, recruiting volunteers or staff members, and maintaining detailed records of activities.
• Provide training sessions for staff and volunteers on topics such as addiction counseling techniques or public health best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Skills

• Proven experience in volunteer management with the ability to recruit, train, motivate, and retain dedicated team members.
• Supervising experience leading teams or programs within community-based organizations or social services settings.
• Excellent public speaking skills capable of engaging diverse audiences at community events or stakeholder meetings.
• Strong program development skills with the ability to design innovative initiatives tailored to community needs.
• Effective project management capabilities to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in marketing strategies including social media management to enhance outreach efforts across digital platforms.
• Data collection expertise for tracking program metrics; ability to analyze data for reporting purposes.
• Knowledge of addiction counseling principles or public health frameworks is a plus for specialized outreach programs.
• Leadership qualities that inspire collaboration among staff, volunteers, partners, and community members.
• Experience in fundraising activities such as grant writing or donor engagement to sustain outreach projects.
• Administrative skills necessary for budgeting, record keeping, scheduling, and organizational planning.
• Recruiting experience focused on attracting diverse talent aligned with organizational values.
• Teaching or training experience beneficial for conducting workshops or educational sessions related to social work or health topics. Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
