What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed School Security Guard position at Girard School District?
Seeking one part-time Armed School Security Guard for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Girard School District is seeking a dynamic individual to assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate must exercise good judgment, decision-making, and consistency of communication with school administration at all times.
Core responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:
· Provide security with visibility and presence in all buildings.
· Build positive relationships with students, faculty and staff.
· Act as an advisor and provide assistance to school administrators in traffic, parking, and bus drop off/boarding related issues.
· Act as the liaison with the Pennsylvania State Police and local police departments.
Qualifications:
· Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 Clearances.
· First Aid and CPR Training Certifications.
· Act 235- Lethal Weapons Certification.
· Current Driver’s License.
· National School Resource Officer Basic Resource Officer Training (NASRO).
· The employee agrees to complete all mandatory yearly certified training, firearms training, and first-aid training.
This position is 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $28, with an anticipated start date of August 17, 2026.
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
