The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will serve as a member of the Student Success Team and Residential Team and report to the Director of Student Success. The clinical social worker will provide assessment, prevention, and intervention services for students, including individual and group counseling and therapy for students facing social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The clinical social worker will also educate staff, students, and families on how to manage ongoing challenges and provide services to help students make positive choices and become successful.
Hours for the clinical social worker are : Sundays 3-11pm; Mondays -Thursdays from 2-10pm. Professional development may take place once a month on Fridays from 8-4pm. Typical Summer Hours are M-F 8:30-3:30pm from June-August.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Provide evidence-based mental health, behavioral, and social-emotional services through individual and group counseling.
- Foster a residential environment that promotes student learning, well-being, and a positive school culture.
- Deliver prevention and intervention services aligned with a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), including supporting Tier 1 strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for students requiring Tier 3 counseling and intensive interventions.
- Collaborate with Behavior Support Specialists to develop effective behavior trackers and progress reports for Tier 2 students.
- Serve as a liaison among students, families, school staff, and external partners (e.g., social services, courts, and community providers).
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments, including intakes, observations, interviews, and review of relevant records.
- Provide screenings, crisis assessments, clinical interventions, and psychoeducational programming.
- Support students and families in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact academic success.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication and meetings with families and stakeholders.
- Connect students and families to appropriate school-based and community resources and monitor service effectiveness.
- Provide training and consultation to staff, caregivers, and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services, assessments, and consultations.
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments to inform service delivery and programming.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support student success and campus-wide initiatives.
- Supervise social work interns as available.
- Participate in supervision, professional development, and required meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Possess a clinical license as an LCSW in the state of PA.
- Requires experience in determining clinical necessity for social emotional and mental health services, and provision of behavioral health services for students and families; knowledge and experience in coordinating/collaborating multiple systems of care through internal and external resources.
- Preferred experience in school settings.
Salary : $82,400 - $87,550
