First Grade Teacher

Girard College is seeking certified First Grade Teacher  

Our ideal teacher candidates will need to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction aligned to PA State Standards, work collaboratively with teachers in other disciplines as well as our residential staff who are responsible for overseeing after school advisory and program initiatives for our students.

Mastery of and enthusiasm for a growth mindset towards personal/professional growth, student outcomes, and subject matter.
 

• Teaching experience highly preferred with a proven record of high academic and social achievement
• Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in education, in the specific core content job area
• Must possess a minimum of a Level I Instructional Certificate or above in the content area in which they are teaching from the PA Department of Education or must obtain Instructional Intern Certificate in the content area in which they teach within one year from date of hire.

• IMPORTANT SALARY INFORMATION: the minimum starting salary for new teachers shall be determined by their completion of years of teaching / counseling experience and degree level in accordance with the bargaining agreement.
