About the Office of Student Life:
The Office of Student Life advances the school’s mission of educating the whole child by leading all co-curricular activities, student support, and residential life.
The Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Life is the principal professional supporting the Vice President of Student Life and directs the administrative, operational, and financial affairs of the Vice President’s Office. This role provides support that enables the Vice President to operate effectively, streamlines workflow and communications, and oversees all scheduling for the office. The Executive Assistant regularly communicates with all levels of the GC community and external constituencies.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between the Vice-President and staff, students, parents, alumni, and external partners: communicate and interpret policy, decisions, and institutional communications. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information and records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications, triaging inquiries, and ensuring timely, appropriate responses.
- Draft and distribute internal communications on behalf of the Vice collaborate with the Office of Communications to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Support the Vice-President by reviewing correspondence and documents prepared by other offices for the President’s approval.
- Prepare, edit, and finalize documents for signature, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and professionalism.
- Assists with the development and management of department budgets, including expense tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and coordination with the College’s finance team.
- Lead the annual development of the school calendar in partnership with school leadership and key stakeholders. Coordinate approvals and ensure distribution to the school community.
- Collaborate with school leadership to develop, update, and distribute the Student handbook; serve as a resource to students, families, and staff.
- Manage a complex executive calendar, prioritizing commitments and ensuring optimal use of the Vice President’s time.
- Represent the Office professionally by greeting visitors, responding to inquiries (including from media and public officials), resolving issues, and ensuring follow-up as needed.

- High degree of independence, self-motivation, and organizational discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
- Financial acumen, including budget tracking, expense reporting, and control.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience administrative experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive/senior leadership
- College degree – preferred
- Experience in an educational environment – preferred
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
