Overview
Girard College seeks an AV & Media Technology Coordinator to provide leadership in audio-visual, media, and print production services across campus. This position plays a vital role in supporting academic, administrative, and community events through professional-level technical expertise, creative design, and on-site event execution.
This full-time position reports to the Director of Technology in the Girard Educational Technology Services (GETS) department. The AV & Media Technology Coordinator manages AV systems for school assemblies, performances, and public events, while also operating the College’s print service center. The role requires high-level technical skill, independent problem-solving, and the ability to train and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities
- AV Event Leadership: Plan, set up, and operate AV systems for live events including assemblies, performances, board meetings, and parent programs. Serve as lead technician for evening and weekend events, troubleshooting and adapting systems in real time.
- AV Systems Management: Configure and maintain Extron video switchers, projectors, microphones, mixers, cameras, monitors, and lighting systems across multiple venues.
- Digital Audio Management: Manage Dante-certified audio networks, signal routing, gain structure, and live sound performance.
- Multimedia Design: Create programs, signage, and presentation assets using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
- Print Services: Operate high-volume copiers, risograph machines, and laminators. Manage job requests, supply levels, and vendor service coordination.
- Tier 1–2 IT Support: Provide frontline support for devices including Chromebooks, desktops, phones, and projectors. Bridge between classroom needs and IT administration.
- Training & Consultation: Coach faculty, staff, and students on AV and media use. Offer consultation for event planning and digital communication projects.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Media Production, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AV systems operation, live event production, or IT support.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex AV setups independently.
- Strong understanding of digital audio and video networking.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for events.

Salary : $54,000 - $56,000
