Part time Police – HELP WANTED
The Borough of Girard will accept applications from qualified applicants for the position of part time police officer.
· Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and must be certified under Act 120.
· Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule.
· Applicants must have a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license.
· Applicants are required to take a written examination, an oral interview and an agility test.
· Applicants must pass a stringent background check, a physical (including drug screening) and a psychological exam.
Training hourly wage is $18.55 followed by $20.61 per hour. Applications must be obtained at the Girard Borough Office, 34 Main Street, Girard, Pa, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (closed Noon to 1:00PM), Monday through Friday. Applications must be returned by 4:30PM, August 29, 2024. . The Civil Service Test will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Prequalified applicants may report for the test at 8:45 am.
