About the Opportunity
Volar Health and Giraldo Internal Medicine are seeking an experienced Medicare growth leader to build and manage a repeatable patient-acquisition strategy throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Practice Marketing and Medicare Growth Manager to support the growth of our patient-focused Internal Medicine practice. This role is responsible for business development, growth, in-person outreach, and strengthening relationships with community partners. We currently serve a significant Medicare Advantage population and are investing in additional provider capacity. This person will work directly with senior leadership to expand our Medicare patient panel through relationships with health plans, brokers, senior organizations, community partners, and other compliant referral channels.
We are seeking a field-oriented healthcare growth professional who understands Medicare Advantage and can demonstrate measurable results.
To be considered, candidates must have previous experience with market growth. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
Essential Functions
- Plan, lead, and execute new patient growth with trackable measures.
- Conduct regular in-person marketing visits and develop your own leads.
- Provide ongoing feedback regarding growth patterns, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Organize, attend, and represent the practice at events involving growth, community events, and partnership events.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior communities, pharmacies, employers, community organizations, and healthcare partners
- Organize and participate in meetings to grow volume and strengthen partnerships.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of new patient volume, leads, and marketing activities.
- Create and follow a structured daily marketing schedule.
- Manage the annual AEP and year-round growth calendar
- Develop targeted strategies for turning-65 patients, new-to-Medicare patients, plan transitions and underserved communities.
- Coordinate community events, educational activities and local sponsorships.
- Ensure leads receive timely outreach, scheduling and follow-up.
- Work closely with clinic leadership to align patient growth with provider capacity and appointment availability.
- Monitor gross additions, attrition, and net Medicare panel growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Highly professional in appearance, communication, and conduct.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Results-oriented with strong follow-through and the ability to track and meet measurable targets.
- Sales or marketing background with experience in Market growth.
- Experience in healthcare sales strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; positive and engaging demeanor.
- Ability to influence and build rapport with medical providers, community and industry partners, leadership, and staff.
- Strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows-based technologies.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., copier, fax, scanner).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least three years of experience in Medicare Advantage growth, provider relations, or healthcare business development.
- Existing relationships with Medicare brokers, agencies, payers and community organizations in the Rio Grande Valley.
- A documented history of generating measurable membership, patient-panel or revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage enrollment periods, PCP attribution, plan networks, provider directories and payer rosters.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
