Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete necessary documentation accurately
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management and stock organization when not on delivery routes
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and time management
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients
- Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely during loading/unloading processes
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics processes
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial references preferred but not required
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures, moving items efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
