Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, managing waitlists and seating arrangements efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly to ensure readiness for new guests
- Support the front-of-house team with guest inquiries, providing friendly and clear communication
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when handling reservations or guest questions over the phone
- Collaborate with team members to ensure guest needs are met swiftly and professionally
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
