What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Ginghamsburg Church?
Ginghamsburg Preschool and Childcare Center is looking for teacher candidates in the following areas:
Preschool - Age 3-4 years
Accountable To:
- Center Director
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p
Education & Experience:
- Required: Minimum of current Child Development Associates Certification (CDA) OR Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field
- 1-2 years of experience teaching children ages preschool through Kindergarten
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Related Field
Requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Have the ability to plan and implement methods of establishing a positive partnership with the child’s parents.
- Have the ability to evaluate on an on-going basis the social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental stages of an individual child.
- Demonstrate the ability to create and effectively implement age appropriate lessons.
- Understand a child’s social/emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual developmental needs.
- In-service trainings
- First Aid and CPR
- Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Classes
- 10 hours of State required classes each year of employment
- Employee must be physically fit to work with children, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and mobile enough to fully and comfortably engage with children
