Responsibilities

- Manage classroom activities effectively, utilizing strong classroom management and behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior.
- Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or informal updates.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student records and incident reports.
- Incorporate child welfare practices by maintaining a safe environment, providing first aid when necessary, and adhering to health and safety protocols such as CPR certification.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, standardized testing preparations, and integrating physical education activities into daily routines.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Experience developing curriculum content across core subjects such as literacy education, math, and physical education for young learners.
- Classroom experience managing diverse groups of children while implementing effective behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education requirements and working with children requiring additional support is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, team members, and community partners.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are a plus.
